Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) is an empirically supported, 8-session, training program designed to cultivate the skill of self-compassion. Based on the groundbreaking research of Kristin Neff and the clinical expertise of Christopher Germer.
MSC enables us to respond to difficult moments in their lives with kindness, care and understanding. Research demonstrates self-compassion is strongly associated with emotional wellbeing, less anxiety, depression and stress, maintenance of healthy habits such as diet and exercise, and satisfying personal relationships.
During this 8 week program, we will learn to befriend our inner critic, develop skills of self-compassion to manage difficult emotions including shame, and foster goodwill towards ourselves and others.
Your teachers for this course are Peter Goh, a consultant psychiatrist and Elizabeth Crosby, a mental health nurse. We are both passionate about helping develop the skills from MSC in meeting our vulnerabilities with patience and kindness.
